A Smile

This poem is read on the Hope Speaks Podcast Season 2 Episode 3

It's important

Rarely is it unnecessary

You can put it in your back pocket

And pull it out when you need

It is equivalent to sunshine falling in the evening

A smile goes a long way

God blessed you with the ability to press forward on a rainy day

Never let the cloud cover get in your way

Be hopeful that even in the midst of your storm

Everything will be okay

Love always, Esha  <3

Cobblestone

Listen to Hope Speaks Episode 8

Be the odd ball. The one who rarely gets everything right but dances to the beat of their own drum. Stand apart from the crowd. Yell, smile and walk to the sound of your heart beat. Surely, you have the rhythm of life marching with you against the tapping heel of aged cobblestone.

Cautious

Be cautious, high voltage.

Maybe rude

Maybe kind

Snap off without notice

Then act like everything’s fine

Sincere eyes tucked behind a wise grin

Never know if you’ll see them again

They’re rare like hitting the lottery

Fickled like catching the wind

Stepping out every so often

To feel the sand in-between loose toes

To laugh at past mistakes

To blow kisses out the car window

But they disappear with the arrival of snow

When the birds return

Love blooms with the scents of spring

And their ambitions soar on feathered wings

But until then be cautious

Love always, Esha
