A Little Something: Impossible

 

Believe that the impossible is possible with faith.

Inspirational: Small Flame

It starts off small 

A flame 

That the cold, wind and rain 

Can't extinguish 

Then it grows 

Questions follow: 

Can I be redeemed? 

Does Christ love me? 

Is faith enough? 

What is love? 

It can be kindled by prayer 

Maintained by hope 

Nourished by the pages of a Bible 

That are ever turning 

You lose some battles and win some 

But to believe 

Your growth is tied up in learning 

And yearning for the grace of God 

No matter how hard you fall 

He will pick you up 

The Holy Ghost will comfort you 

And Jesus will clean your wounds 

You are not alone 

You are not abandoned 

And most importantly you are not forgotten 

You are the sheep that the Shepard refused to leave behind 

Every hair on your head counted

Every need you have supplied 

You will have a friend in Jesus for the rest of your life 

So when the world resents you 

And casts you aside... 

Just know that you are aided by the King of Kings 

And you shall live and not die 

It starts off small

Bright green grass bends with ease and grace  

Latching on to the qualms of the day 

Swaying with the embrace of the wind 

Cool desires drench happy blades with ease 

The brown, hard soil cracks underfoot 

Meanwhile, aged, off-white feathers grip the open air 

Catching the warmth of endless sunlight 

Boundaries of earth melt away here 

Let the blue sky spread out before you 

Scale the height of it 

Take in the baby blue majesty

Live in the moment 

Shape your body effortlessly to flow in it 

Feel the passive breath lifting you higher and higher 

Now is the beginning of a new tomorrow 

Live for today 

Plan for the future you are unable to see 

Be eager in flight 

Sailing and soaring to unseen destinations 

In territories that curious souls dare to know  

Faith will take you to places 

That fear never will

I keep it close to my chest 

Holding onto it like a newborn child 

Maintaining it's importance in my life 

Praying and meditating on it 

Believing with the faith that grows in my bosom 

Understanding that the living word is a well 

That never goes dry

Competition

Move past the competition with ease and grace 

There are no competitors in a one man race 

There is no fear here 

Your presence can not be replaced

Because you were put in place by God 

Think it not strange 

Though some may see it as odd 

You were choose for a reason to walk a path 

That many can not follow 

Some follow ambitions that are vain and hollow 

But your faith will persevere

Let Christ be the light to your footsteps

Hold your head high 

You will dance on water 

You will walk on baby blue sky

Don't Give Up

The quitter mentality is becoming a hindrance in our society. For many people quitting at the first sign of trouble has become the norm. But we only discover the breath of adversity and the fortitude found in triumph when we push forward without ceasing. Every fruit producing plant once started as a seed in need of water and fertile ground. It is the job of the dreamer to base their aspirations in reality by working towards their goals. Keep standing, working and speaking things as though they were.

God has created a plan and a purpose for each and everyone of us. Whether or not we choose to pursue that path is our choice. On many occasions, since I graduated college I have found myself in need of guidance, direction and support. I am thankful to say that God has supplied all those needs. He is truly a friend indeed and for His mercy and support I am forever grateful. I have a corny yet insightful saying that has encouraged my spirit along the way: 

Don't give up, don't give in. You were made to preserve. You were birthed to win. The Holy Spirit is your comforter and Jesus is your friend. 

Many of us have faced rejection of some sort and these feelings are stirred up when we pursue our goals and the desired outcome isn't immediate gratification. The desire to quit when we fall down is continuous. But if we don't get up the struggle will continue endlessly. Because we live with the regret of what if. What if I tried? 

To hold on is difficult but to let go satisfies the fear of failure. So it is important to remember that according to 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. With that being said, have faith and let go of any fear that may hinder you from achieving great things. Your blessing is right around the corner. But you must have faith in order to know it's there waiting on you to believe it. In times like these, God gives us the power of hope. Keep pushing forward.

Difficult Situations

 


Sometimes you have to figure out difficult situations fast. Pick up the pieces, laugh at the irony and keep trucking along. As you build your faith, the yoke becomes light and the burden is easy. So let the creases in the corners of your mouth perk up. Because a genuine smile is better than sunshine on rye bread. It rains on the just and the unjust no one can deny the downpour. But joy waits on the other side for those who persevere.

Changing Nature

Chip away at the block. Little by little. Day by day. It will take form. Becoming something different. Something new. Something that a transforming soul once knew. Before it was altered. Before faith and hope grew. And that is the nature of change.

The World Turns...

The world is every turning. Society moves and sways with the tides and rises with the waves. But it never thinks of the soul. The things that fall outside of it's influence. The pressure that makes young hearts grow old. But those who know don't speak and those that don't know are quick to respond. Making up policies that fail to help the community. Ignoring the necessities of those who are in pain. Calling the wise crazy and driving those who follow along insane. All the while, the world is steady turning on an axis fit to bend. Those who can't make it work break. While those who find a way are able to survive. Sometimes it takes knowledge to keep your faith alive. Knowing that the power doesn't come from the world. It comes from the Spirit within. Because the battle isn't won until the outcome is revealed at the end. So keep pressing on. Only the foolish relay on the strength of those who appear strong. That's why I'm never afraid to walk alone.

God's Love

Faith has been known to move mountains. It is the substance that dreams and blessings are made of. Just a bit of it is enough to garner God's love.

Waiting in Faith

We live with the hope of awakening to the sight of better things. I know the power of the unseen. Everyday, we sow a precious mustard seed. Faith makes our hearts full. Prayer makes our gardens lush and green. Sometimes the blessings lie in waiting.
