Running in circles for a connection that's already there
Chasing down relationship
When Jesus always cared
Looking to experience temporary feelings
When you need something to last an eternity
Cheeks previously stained by tears
Seek soft kisses that rarely stay
Tender for a moment
Only to go away
We all need a love that will last forever

The feeling dissipates
But I still remember the warmth
I still crave the moment
Looking for the next opportunity
Safe from harm
To be well thought of
And loved in return
Yearning and turning in desolate places
Aching to see and experience friendly faces
Hopefully a day will arrive
And I will be held in an embrace
That makes my lonely years fade away
The feeling dissipates
But I still remember the warmth
I still crave the moment
Choosing isolation
And silent discretion over having a hand to hold
But as of late...
Our words fall short
They collapse before I love you
Breaking like a vase hitting the floor
We wonder bout the meaning be hide it all..
How to find the closeness of connection?
Without stuttering in the moment when we receive an urgent call
Only to realize that at times we are a bit too harsh on ourselves
On cloudy days we all need a bit of help

In the course of life, you interact with people. Hold hands, join in laughter, cry together in moments of pain. Some connections last forever, others are reduced to a brief yet memorable moment in time. Yet some individuals are utterly forgotten like copper pennies rusting at the bottom of the sea. The blue salty water floats over their memory. But the truth remains the same. So you go through life with a vague, distant memory of a familiar face you once knew.

Ball up your fist and punch. You anticipated the arrival of this moment all your life. To fight for what you believe in. To stand on the battlefield of dreams. To shed sweat, blood and tears on the ground that will determine the outcome of future generations that have yet to set eyes on the world as we know it. So give it all you got. The struggle is spiritual but the aftermath is impossible to quantify.

One kiss is never enough. There must be dozens to make up for time lost. They must be doubled to address when the road less traveled gets rough. They need to cover the wounds and apply smooth balm to the scars that don’t disappear. They should last for days and stretch into years. Give a kiss strong enough to dry damp tears. Let it be so profound that it eradicates fears. Breath hopefulness into moments that would mean nothing without you here. And that’s why one kiss is never enough.

Fear has become a fad in this dystopian society
People are afraid of everything
They run from the sight of their own shadow
Turning a blind eye to the truth that discomforts their achy soul
Irritated by those who speak their mind freely
Disgusted by narratives they are unable to control
There is no argument to be had
Because utilizing discourse to find common ground
Has gone out the window
So their right by default
And anyone that disagrees is at fault...
If your brother sees the world through a different lens
Why cling to disdain?
Can you not love through disagreements?
Make peace with a difference of opinion
Search for the truth instead of accepting lies
Spoon fed to you through TV
But fallacy will hold you
And reality will leave you cold
It takes a strong mind to believe in something
Beyond what their told
Make an effort to see past the moment
Look forward instead
Because the person you ignore
May butter your bread
But an empty soul can't be fed
