We were close before
But distance came between us
Yes the feeling of love wouldn't leave us
And prayer lead us closer to a warm embrace
Before I knew you through a shallow lens
Know I recognize your face
You are the other half I never knew I needed
When others fail to understand
We are in agreement
Jesus is our base
And our foundation is strong
The second around with praise as our song

Let the waves of life pass over
You will not be moved
Let the sun beat down
But it will not bring weariness to you
Though enemies will bring war against you
Your heart will know no fear
For the Lord is your strong tower
And laughter is your medicine of choice
You will dance in the spring time

There you are shinning
Like free sunlight twinkling
My Lord let you're latter rain
Fall on the people
Open your ear to our plea
We cry for your help
In mourning and groaning
Falling on our knees
Let your glory and grace
Cover our needs
We run to the Father
While acknowledging the sacrifice of the Son
The unblemished Lamb
The Holy One
We will follow His lead
